Renovating an apartment, house, or commercial space almost always leaves behind debris and construction waste that must be removed before continuing work or reusing the space. Leftover tiles, mortar, bricks, and other materials quickly become heavy, and manually carrying them down from higher floors can be one of the most physically demanding parts of renovation.

Moja Selidba organizes complete debris removal in Belgrade. Depending on the arrangement, our workers can handle packing debris into bags, carrying it out of the building, lowering it to the vehicle, loading, and disposal.

If the renovation is done before or after moving in Belgrade, we can combine multiple necessary services so you don’t have to separately arrange workers and transport.

Workers of Moja Selidba in red shirts are loading bags of construction rubble onto a truck during rubble removal.
Professional debris removal and loading of construction waste onto trucks, with reliable service from the Moja Selidba agency.

Debris removal services may include:

  • packing debris into bags
  • providing bags upon agreement
  • collecting leftovers after renovation
  • carrying filled bags out of the apartment or house
  • manually lowering debris from upper floors
  • removal from buildings with or without elevators
  • transporting debris from the building to the vehicle
  • loading bags onto the vehicle
  • disposal of small amounts of construction waste
  • disposal of larger quantities of debris
  • removal of debris from apartments, houses, and commercial spaces
  • arranging appropriate vehicles according to quantity and weight

You don't have to carry out the rubble in advance in front of the building. When we agree on this, our team takes over the job directly from the premises where the work was performed.

Packing rubble into sacks

Rubble cannot be carried out through the building like ordinary household items. Small remnants of construction material must first be prepared so that workers can safely carry and load them into the vehicle.

If you already have suitable sacks, you can prepare the rubble before our arrival.

If you don't have sacks or don't want to handle the packing yourself, we can arrange sacks and take care of packing the rubble by agreement.

We pay special attention to the weight of each sack. It makes no sense to fill a sack to the top if it cannot be lifted and carried properly due to its weight afterwards.

The team arrived at the agreed time. They professionally and carefully moved the packed furniture and protected/packed the furniture we hadn't packed. Highly recommended.

The guys were great! They arrived quickly, professional, polite, and it was no problem that they carried the machine into a building without an elevator. Great experience!

How much rubble should a sack be filled with?

This primarily depends on the type of material.

Pieces of lighter material and fine, heavy construction waste do not create the same weight in sacks of the same volume.

Therefore, sacks are not filled according to the principle of "as much as can fit", but only enough so they can be safely lifted, carried through the building, and loaded.

With heavy rubble, one overfilled sack can be a much bigger problem than two properly distributed ones.

This is especially important when rubble needs to be manually carried down several floors.

Removing rubble from the apartment

Renovating a bathroom, kitchen, or an entire apartment can produce a large number of sacks of rubble.

When the workers finish demolition or a certain phase of the work, our team can come and take over the removal of the generated material.

This allows the space to be quickly cleared so that work can continue without a pile of sacks occupying the hallway or rooms.

If the renovation is done before the apartment move, we can organize rubble removal separately, and then handle other moving-related tasks.

Removing rubble from the floor

One of the hardest parts of the job is often not the transport itself but carrying the sacks from the apartment to the vehicle.

If the apartment is being renovated on the fourth, fifth, or higher floor, the amount of physical labor quickly increases.

Before making an agreement, we need to know:

  • which floor the apartment is on
  • is there an elevator
  • whether the elevator can be used for this type of load
  • approximately how many bags there are
  • what material is inside them
  • how far the vehicle is from the entrance

Based on this information, we determine how many workers are needed.

Removing debris without an elevator

When the building has no elevator, each bag must be carried down the stairs manually.

For a few bags, this is a relatively small task. For several dozen or larger quantities, the difference becomes significant.

That is why the floor and the amount of debris directly affect the scope of the required work.

For more demanding jobs, we can engage more manual laborers to properly distribute the load among the team members.

Removing debris when there is an elevator

Having an elevator can significantly speed up the removal process, but the conditions in the specific building must be checked before use.

The elevator should not be overloaded with a large number of heavy bags.

Therefore, transport is organized in appropriate quantities and attention is paid to the weight being carried.

The fact that there is an elevator does not mean that you should load as much debris as possible into it at once.

Clean debris and mixed waste

It is very important that you tell us exactly what is inside the bags when making arrangements.

Clean construction debris and mixed waste are not the same thing.

Debris may contain remnants of:

  • bricks
  • mortar
  • ceramics and tiles
  • concrete and similar construction materials

However, renovations often also produce wood, plastic, packaging, old items, and other waste.

Please inform us in advance whether you have clean debris or mixed content, so we can properly assess the job and organize the removal.

Debris is not the same as old furniture

We intentionally separate these services.

If after renovation you have an old wardrobe, bed, kitchen units, or a sofa set, that is a different type of load than bags of construction debris.

For such items, we offer a special old furniture removal service.

If you have both debris and old furniture at the location, just let us know when arranging the service. This way, we can anticipate the total volume of materials and necessary organization.

Debris is not the same as removal of unwanted items

The same applies to old boxes, household items, things from basements, storage rooms, and other inventory.

For such tasks, there is a removal of items to the landfill service.

This page specifically refers to debris and construction waste generated during works.

By separating services, clients can more easily explain what is at the location, and we can more accurately assign the team and vehicle.

Removal of debris after bathroom renovation

Bathroom renovation can produce a surprisingly large amount of heavy waste in a relatively small space.

Old tiles, ceramics, plaster, and other materials can create a large number of heavy bags.

Therefore, it is best to remove the debris as soon as the demolition phase is completed.

This gives the workers free space to continue their work, and the bags do not accumulate in hallways and other rooms.

Debris removal after kitchen renovation

During kitchen renovation, the situation can be different because, in addition to construction waste, old kitchen elements are often removed.

We pack and remove construction debris as one type of cargo, while large pieces of old furniture are removed separately.

If kitchen elements need to be disassembled first, we can also arrange furniture disassembly when the nature of the job requires it.

This way, you don’t have to hire one team for debris, another for old furniture, and a third for physical removal.

Debris removal from a house

During house renovation, the amount of debris can be significantly larger than in smaller apartment projects.

The advantage is that access to the property is often easier, but this depends on the vehicle’s ability to reach the location where the debris is.

If work is being done simultaneously in multiple rooms, it is advisable to estimate the quantity in advance.

For larger projects, we can organize removal according to renovation phases instead of leaving a huge amount of debris until the very end.

Debris removal from commercial spaces

Renovating a shop, office, or other commercial space may also require quick removal of construction waste.

Especially when there is a deadline for completing the work, debris accumulation can hinder other teams.

We can arrange workers for removal and a vehicle for transport so that the space is cleared between renovation phases.

If the business location is changing simultaneously, we can separately organize office relocation.

Small amount of debris

Not every job requires a complete apartment renovation.

Sometimes only a few or a dozen bags remain after minor construction work.

We can also arrange pickup and removal then, adjusting the vehicle and number of workers to the actual volume.

For a small job, there is no need to organize the same team as for a full renovation of a large space.

Larger volume of debris

For larger quantities, the most important thing is to have as accurate an estimate as possible in advance.

The number of bags is very useful information, but their approximate weight and contents are also important.

Based on that, we determine the number of workers, the required vehicle, and the loading organization method.

For a larger scope, we can use a higher capacity vehicle, including a moving truck when the type and volume of cargo suit such an arrangement.

Vehicle access is very important

It’s not the same when the vehicle can park directly in front of the entrance and when each bag must be carried dozens of meters.

Therefore, please tell us what the access to the property is like and where the vehicle can realistically stop.

With a large volume of debris, even a relatively small additional distance significantly increases the total physical work because workers cover the same route many times.

The closer the vehicle can get to the removal point, the faster and more efficient the job.

Request an estimate

How can you send us data for the estimate?

At first, we don’t need a complicated list.

Send a few photos or a short video and specify:

  • approximate number of bags
  • whether the debris is already packed
  • if not, the approximate volume
  • type of debris
  • is there any other waste
  • floor
  • elevator
  • vehicle access possibility
  • are our workers needed for complete removal

Based on that, we can much better assess what kind of job needs to be organized.

For larger volumes, a free estimate is also available.

How much does debris removal cost?

The price depends on the quantity and weight of the debris, the number of workers needed, the floor, the elevator, the distance of the vehicle from the building, whether the debris is already packed, and the required transportation.

Therefore, a single universal price would not realistically represent every job.

For example, ten already prepared bags on the ground floor and a large amount of debris that first needs to be packed, then manually carried down from a higher floor without an elevator, require completely different amounts of work.

The fastest way to get an estimate is to send us photos or videos and basic location details.

From packing debris to removal

If you don’t want to handle any part of the job, we can organize the complete service.

Providing bags by arrangement, packing debris, manual removal, carrying down from floors, transporting to the vehicle, loading, and removal can all be part of one job.

If you have already packed the debris and only need workers and transport, we organize just that part.

This way, you pay for and engage only what you really need, whether you have a few bags after minor work or a larger amount of construction waste after a complete renovation.

Everything You Want to Know

Frequently asked questions about debris removal

After apartment renovations, demolition of partition walls, or replacing ceramic tiles, large amounts of construction waste often remain that cannot be disposed of in regular containers. Its removal requires proper packing, physical labor, and an appropriate vehicle. Moja Selidba organizes debris removal in Belgrade, including packing into bags, removal from the building, and transport to the appropriate landfill. For arrangements regarding the amount of waste, scheduling, and required workers, you can reach us at 0649059090.

1. Do you remove debris from apartments on higher floors without an elevator?

Yes. We organize the removal of construction debris from apartments on various floors, including buildings without elevators. Our workers manually carry the bags to the vehicle, following a prior assessment of the quantity and weight of the material. When scheduling, please specify the floor level, stairway width, and parking availability.

2. Do you provide bags for packing construction debris?

Yes. Upon prior arrangement, we can provide suitable bags for packing debris. If you already have your own bags, we can organize only their removal and transport. It is important that the packaging is sturdy enough and that the bags are not overfilled to ensure safe handling.

3. Can the workers pack the debris into bags instead of me?

Yes. As part of the full service, we can organize the collection and packing of construction debris into bags, their removal, loading, and transport. If you have already prepared the debris, we can take over the remaining part of the job. The scope of engagement is defined during the agreement.

4. Do you remove debris after bathroom and kitchen renovations?

Yes. We organize the removal of construction waste generated during bathroom, kitchen, and other room renovations. This may include broken ceramic tiles, plaster, bricks, concrete, and similar materials. Before pickup, please specify the type and approximate quantity of waste to properly organize transport.

5. Can I order removal of a smaller amount of debris?

Yes. You can hire us even when you need to remove a smaller amount of construction waste, for example, several dozen bags after minor works. The vehicle and number of workers are adjusted to the specific job. When calling, please specify the approximate number of bags and the pickup location.

6. Do you remove debris mixed with wood, plastic, and insulation materials?

Mixed construction waste requires special assessment because different materials may have different disposal conditions. When scheduling, please indicate whether the debris contains wood, plastic, mineral wool, or other materials. Based on the composition, we check the possibilities for pickup and appropriate disposal.

7. Can you organize debris removal during renovations, not just after completion?

Yes. We can organize debris removal during renovations to prevent unnecessary accumulation of construction waste. This is especially useful in smaller apartments and properties with limited space. Pickup times are arranged according to the work schedule and team availability.

8. Do you remove construction debris from yards, garages, and commercial properties?

Yes. We organize the pickup of debris from yards, garages, basements, commercial spaces, and other locations. The method of removal depends on the distance between the waste location and the vehicle. If there are stairs, narrow passages, or other obstacles, please report them in advance.

9. Where do you dispose of construction debris after pickup?

We transport construction debris to appropriate authorized disposal sites, in accordance with the type of waste and acceptance conditions. It is important to know the material composition in advance, especially when there are different types of construction waste. This allows us to properly organize pickup and transport.

10. How much does debris removal cost in Belgrade?

The price depends on the quantity and weight of the debris, number of bags, floor level, distance of the vehicle from the property, and the number of workers needed. The cost is also influenced by whether packing is required or just loading and transport. To estimate costs, call 0649059090 and describe the scope of work.
