A one-day move means organizing the removal, transport, and delivery of items within a single pre-agreed time slot. To make the plan realistic, we check the amount of furniture, access to both addresses, and the time needed for each phase before starting. This approach is especially important when relocating an entire household, not just a few pieces of furniture.

A one-day move is not just about speed but also about available capacity. With five vans, ten workers, and three teams, we can coordinate the removal, transport, and delivery of items, and when necessary, distribute the work across multiple vehicles. Our vehicle fleet enables such organization, but we confirm same-day completion only after assessing the scope and access to the properties.

What a Move Completed Within One Day Looks Like

A one-day move requires precise organization of all phases – from preparing the apartment to the final placement of furniture in the new space. The team arrives at the agreed address in the morning and immediately begins protecting and removing furniture. The first team handles large pieces, the second prepares smaller items for loading, while the third team can be engaged for assembly or work at a parallel address.

For apartment moves, we plan the work sequence based on the number of rooms, floor level, and parking availability. Under favorable conditions, even a larger apartment can be relocated within one day, but we confirm the deadline only after assessing the actual workload.

What We Arrange Before Moving Day

Before the move, we precisely define the arrival time, analyze the floor level, property access, and elevator availability. Parking availability and the possibility of reservation are crucial for smooth work. It is important to check if the property is multi-story without an elevator and whether temporary blocking of passageways is possible for faster removal of items. We send clients clear instructions for marking parking spots or contacting the building manager.

  • We define the exact time and starting address of the move with all details necessary for smooth operation
  • We check parking availability and reservation options, which directly affect the speed of the move
  • We determine if there is an elevator, its load capacity, and the condition of stairway access
  • We arrange special requirements for transporting and protecting sensitive or bulky furniture pieces
  • We notify residents or the building manager about the moving schedule to facilitate access and avoid misunderstandings

How We Assess the Apartment Size and Number of Trips

The scope of the move determines the number of trips needed and whether a one-day move is feasible. We analyze the apartment’s square footage, the number and type of large pieces, as well as the quantity of boxes. Distance between old and new addresses and specific requirements for removing items like pianos or safes are also considered.

If multiple trips are needed, we schedule vehicles and personnel so that loading and unloading do not overlap in a way that causes delays. Our moving workers have clearly assigned tasks, from protection and removal to organizing items at the new address.

Vehicle and Crew Schedule During the Workday

We have five vans and ten workers divided into three teams at our disposal. The choice of vehicles from our fleet depends on the volume of items and access to the property; it does not mean that all vehicles are needed for every one-day move. When the workload requires it, multiple teams can work in coordination.

  • Vehicles are selected based on the quantity and type of cargo, as well as access possibilities to the property
  • Teams alternate during loading and unloading phases to maximize time savings
  • Coordination with the dispatch center allows for urgent vehicle rerouting in case of changes
  • Each team is equipped with a complete set of tools for furniture disassembly and assembly
  • We monitor the moving progress and, if necessary, involve additional workers for efficiency

Order of removal and protection of passageways

We first remove the heaviest and largest pieces such as sofas, wardrobes, and appliances, followed by the transfer of boxes and smaller items. Passageways and doors are additionally protected with tape and cardboard coverings at critical points – entrance doors, hallway walls, and stair edges.

For narrow passages, staircases, and elevators, we first check how furniture can be safely moved out. Edge protection and proper carrying often save more time than rushing the work at any cost.

How coordination reduces waiting times at addresses

Central coordination throughout the day monitors the movement of all teams and vehicles, enabling quick responses to delays or changes. This system is especially important in the wider Belgrade city center where traffic jams and limited parking are common.

  • In case of blockage or congestion at one address, another team takes over part of the cargo to maintain the moving pace
  • Communication with the client takes place in real time throughout the day
  • Any schedule changes are immediately communicated to all participants to avoid confusion
  • We plan parallel work of multiple teams whenever possible for maximum efficiency
  • Reducing idle time of vehicles and workers increases the likelihood of completing the move on the same day

Moving a larger apartment without unnecessary delays

For larger apartments or houses, two or more trips are often necessary. Multiple vehicles and workers can work simultaneously on different stages of the relocation. For example, while one team finishes loading at the old address, another team simultaneously unloads and arranges furniture in the new apartment.

While one team finishes loading boxes, another can place larger furniture in the agreed locations. If beds or wardrobes have been disassembled beforehand, furniture assembly is included in the daily schedule to avoid delaying final tasks.

The guys were great! They arrived quickly, professional, polite, and it was no problem that they carried the machine into a building without an elevator. Great experience!

What can extend the planned duration

Lack of parking, unexpected traffic jams, limited elevator operation, or exceptionally heavy items can slow down the move. Clients are informed of any situation as soon as a potential problem is identified. Poor weather conditions, temporary street closures, or roadworks can further delay the process, even when everything else is well organized.

Particularly heavy items, difficult access, and waiting for the elevator can change the estimated duration. Therefore, we do not promise same-day completion without checking conditions, especially when dealing with large pieces or multiple distant addresses.

How we determine if one day is a realistic timeframe

By inspecting the apartment, the number of items, and access conditions, we assess whether the move can be completed in one day. Logistic factors are considered – distance between addresses, parking availability, and the possibility of engaging additional teams.

When there is doubt whether everything can be finished in one day, a free moving assessment helps us determine in advance the number of workers, vehicles, and a realistic time frame. If the job is too extensive, we will propose a different schedule instead of making unrealistic promises.

Frequently Asked Questions – One-Day Moves

One-day moves require special organization and planning. Below are answers to the most common questions about this service.

1. Is every move possible in one day?

No, the possibility of a one-day move depends on the volume of items, access to properties, floor level, and logistics. We conduct a feasibility assessment before scheduling.

2. When should I book a date for a one-day move?

It is recommended to book at least a few days in advance so we can optimally organize teams and vehicles.

3. What if there is no available parking in front of the building?

If there is no available parking, the move may take longer due to the distance for carrying items. We recommend securing a parking spot for the vehicle if possible.

4. Is elevator use mandatory?

Elevator use is not mandatory but significantly speeds up the move. If the elevator is not working or not allowed for transport, the move may take longer.

5. Can you perform moves on weekends?

Yes, one-day moves are possible on weekends, but advance booking is necessary due to increased demand during those times.

6. How many trips are needed for an average three-room apartment?

The number of trips depends on the amount of furniture and boxes. Usually, one to two trips are needed, but the exact number is determined during the assessment.

7. Do you perform special equipment moves in one day?

We can physically transport special loads if permitted and logistically feasible, but we do not provide professional disassembly, connection, or servicing of such devices.

8. What happens if the move cannot be completed in one day?

In that case, we continue the move the next day or as agreed, with prior notification and schedule adjustment.

9. How early do you arrive at the address on moving day?

The team arrives at the agreed time, which is set in advance, usually in the morning hours to maximize the use of the day.

10. Can I change the moving date?

The date can be changed with timely notice, depending on the availability of teams and vehicles on the desired new date.
